AB MAURI ANNOUNCES THE INTEGRATION OF GB PLANGE UK
In January 2014 AB Mauri completed the acquisition of Gb Plange. Since that date AB Mauri has been reviewing all aspects of the Gb Plange business to ensure the optimum integration with existing AB Mauri businesses.
The Gb Plange business in the UK is widely regarded as a strong technical business providing craft bakers and industrial bakers with an excellent range of bakery ingredients backed up by indepth technical support. In particular, Gb Plange has extensive experience and expertise in fermentation, enzyme and flour technology.
AB Mauri has now decided to fully integrate the Gb Plange UK business into the existing operations of AB Mauri UK & Ireland. This means that the technical support function will move to AB Mauri's technical centre in Corby and the customer service function will move to AB Mauri's office in Northampton in June 2014. It is planned that Gb Plange's UK sales team will join AB Mauri UK & Ireland's commercial team. Gb Plange's UK office and technical centre in Runcorn will close by the end of 2014 and, unfortunately, will result in a number of staff redundancies. However, every effort will be made to redeploy staff within the AB Mauri business where possible.
